Heh... I love Greg Dean :P --> "My anguish is absolute. I need a LiveJournal". He's too funny.
I rented
CUBE the other night, what a stupendously weird and cool film. Visually stunning. I could see original visuals that more commercial films like The Cell (2000) and The Matrix (1999) borrowed from CUBE, because this one is from 1997.
I also rented
DUMMY with Adrien Brody (he's just... adorable) and Milla Jovovich, who I think went a bit too much overboard with her character, really annoying. But it didn't stop me from liking this film. Absolutely poignant, sweet and kind of nostalgic.
And... I finally saw
SIN CITY. I could just see that movie over and over again, I loved it that much. Alas, it was a rental, so I had to return it. Not many hours in the day to watch movies repeatedly, I'm afraid :(
I'm also currently reading Mostly Harmless, the last book of Douglas Adams' five-part so-called "trilogy". I can see why the film version didn't do too great here in this backwater town I live in (I haven't seen the movie). The books are just too weird and full of references, and they make you THINK, which is something not many people have mastered here :/ sadly enough. As for me, I don't want this book to end. That's why it's taken me so long (couple of months) to read all five. I don't wanna leave Arthur and Ford :(
Hehe... Anyyyyyyyyyway... All in all, a good week was had by yours (or mine?) truly, although I'm still in a semi-hermit state, since I don't have a car and all, sucks :( Cab drivers have gotten really scary lately :S
Anyways... that's it for today. Toodle-oo!!
Hey, M., am I geek enuff for yous, now? >:P
