choux pastry hearts (2/2)
kai/krystal, kai/luna, au, pg, 9523 words
"we are all born insignificant in the face of love." ten years between jongin and soojung.

end story. this was very cathartic to write. i found myself wanting to sob multiple times for them, but i think it's just me. haha.

Soojung blinked once, then twice, before she reached forward and kissed him. Jongin kissed her back almost instantly. If this was her answer then he chose to interpret it as yes. It could only be that, he thought, and then she overwhelmed him again. )

MAYDAY MAYDAY THE JAR HAS BROKEN I REPEAT THE JAR HAS BROKEN!!!

I was rooting for everything to work out, for everyone's happiness but I knew, damn it, I knew one wouldn't have a happy ending. I guess I was also expecting Soojung to be it but it's still so sad. I wanted Jongin to pick her from all the suffering she had experienced but at the same time I wanted his happiness with Sunyoung.

idek. I love your writings and I would probably read your chenyin works soon-ish when summer school ends. thank you for being lovely ♥

it has, it has. but idk i don't think this is an unhappy ending for soojung? she gets to live her life without jongin now, and that really means having to grow up and learn how to love others in a less self-destructive manner. it'll be good for her, i think and hope and know, and no matter what she'll always have jongin (in a way), even if it was all in the past.

haha aw chenyin. do you love them like i do?? thank you for being lovely!!

there are sentences that stand-off so much for me, i have to stop reading because i think about it a lot. about it, and the things related to it and how it just feels so real. but at the same time, not. i mean is it allowed to hurt this much? i guess it is. i guess i knew that too, but i read it anyway. whyyyyy whyyyy. (on another note: i like how you wrote the way they handle their anger differently)

i can write so much more about what i like and which ones specifically, but my heart hurts pls understand

hi! yeah they're sort of different and similar at the same time, i think, soojung and jongin, so to write them handling their anger differently i thought would be a nice touch. i don't know... i mean hurting and pain is part of growing up, and the both of them have a lot of that to do. i know it feels like soojung is the one hurt the most, but i definitely feel the worst for jongin.

haha if you can i'd like to see what you like the most! but thank you for liking this anyway, this is more than enough :)

same person, different account!! i cannot be bothered to logout but here i am!! i'm going to bundle all my comments here including parts from the first one.

Jongin only figured that if he had to love someone, then including everything that she did would not hurt either. AFTER READING THIS I PAUSED AND THOUGHT HELL NO. i think this same abundance of love is what kept him from moving forward from soojung, like he expects and expects but she can't change her ways much like how he also can't. and i don't know but i think it's absolutely normal to hate parts of a whole, be it a person or some of their friends or their cat or something. which is why i see it's fine jongdae hates the way soojung is treating jongin. I LOVE THIS because it's so succinct like i can talk about this line and all connected to it in a whole day ( ... )

yeah i figure the real problem with jongin is that he overcompensates for love? he thinks of it as encompassing of everything, but doesn't know how to step out when it gets overboard. which explains his severe attachment to soojung. i really find this mindset fascinating... so i'm happy that you do too!

also yeah. i think this is the only way soojung functions? she imposes herself on people and things because that's the only she thinks people will remember her by. very, very self destructive. but i like the way you've described it!

sunyoung is really the ray of salvation here. she's fundamentally very good and only wants the best for jongin, so to me she's the one who really loves without having to destroy anyone. love is not a destructive force for her--in fact it's quite the opposite, she uses it to heal and i just really appreciated writing a character like that.

thanks for writing all of that! you have no idea how much this means to me (also sorry for my super late reply!)
