summer music plans
It looks like we're going to be giving NXNE a miss. We don't want the pressure of having to go see every-freaking-show with a full festival pass (the most worth-it); and it's really hard to make a decision on a day pass (any day pass?!) when we've never heard of any of the bands... and looking them up on myspace is just a wee bit time-consuming.
So we've decided to splurge on the shows we know we're going to enjoy.
New York Dolls at Lee's on 30th June, and The Datsuns at Horseshoe 20th July. Can't wait. There are other big names (dude, Def Leppard with Poison and Cheap Trick; Depeche Mode with Peter, Bjorn and John at the Molson? Sonic Youth at Massey?? Yspls but can't afford it kthx!) But NYD is already going to cost us twice the amount we usually pay for shows, cheapasses that we are.
Summer is great.
