Well, I took AP Brit Lit my senior year and we were told to analyze a poem for an assignment. I found this poem in a book of poetry my mom has.
A sweet disorder in the dress
Kindles in clothes a wantonness:
A lawn about the shoulders thrown
Into a fine distraction:
An erring lace, which here and there
Enthralls the crimson stomacher:
A cuff neglectful, and thereby
Ribbands to flow confusedly:
A winning wave (deserving note)
In the tempestuous petticoat:
A careless shoe-string, in whose tie
I see a wild civility:
Do more bewitch me, than when art
Is too precise in every part.

I love how it talks about clothing and is completely 18th c. Although after analyzing it thoroughly I have found it a little more risque than on first reading, it still to me is a reflection of how I am. Everything the matter with the woman in the poem just makes her more attractive, like her I am a bit disheveled and unorganized most of time, the poem just reminds me how mistakes add character and beauty. I really love this poem. It just felt like the most appropriate thing for my username to be delightdisorder.
What would you change your name to if you were changing it?
Really nothing. I have nicknames like Bright and Britainicca or Brigitta (from the girl in Sound of Music), so maybe one of those. Actually my neighbor Rosemary calls me Bright-nip. that would be a funny one.
What is your favorite username?
I've been Imfaithful, Penjamin, and Mnykeys. oh, and Drcymylitlvr (Darcy is my literary lover)but for only about a month, then I got rid of AOL. DelightDisorder is my favorite.
