He sees neither adoration in her eyes like in those of the bimbos he manipulates into sleeping with him, nor disgust like in the eyes of women who don’t fall into his web or the ones he throws out after they have had the most legendary evening of their life with him because he’s awesome. No, she’s looking at him like she’s curious, like she’s trying to figure him out, and damn if that doesn’t make him feel uncomfortable.

This was a really interesting perspective on the pilot to read! And while I will snuggle Ted and protect him, lame or not, with my life, I will also say that it's really cool seeing the connection between Barney and Robin here.

Wow! I actually really liked this - it was inventive and there's some beautifully written passages in there. It's a weird take on the pilot but my shipper-heart definitely approves.
