These are the 20ish songs that came up on my auto dj of my downloaded mp3s...and the stories as to why they are in my computer in the first place. There is a (*) next to the ones who's album i actually own

"Hurt" - Johnny Cash (It's beautiful and raw)
"Let me Ride" - Dr. Dre (um, i think it's impossible to not like dre and have lived in the 90s, my copy of the album got ganked years ago...though ive nearly downloaded the whole thing by now)
"Expecting to Fly" - Neil Young (i don't have much neil young, but i love this song)
* "Anything but Down" - Sheryl Crow (Shery Crow is one of my guilty pleasures)
"One Part Lullaby" - Folk Implosion (Found by accident, this song is so simple and sweet)
* "Sad Dress" - Belly (belly is one of my all time favorites -- the album "star" is in my top 5 albums for sing-along)
* "Barely Legal" - The Strokes (Another one of those impossible to not-have cds)
* "Glory Box" - Portishead (oh portishead...you made X so much better than anything else)
* "Change" - Blind Melon (Shannon Hoon has the best voice -- I am in love with his vocal style and this song is gorgeous)
"Airport Song" - Guster (I don't know how I found Guster, but this song is great, lyrics are great)
"Heaven Knows" - Squeeze (In high school I was in love with this boy named Patrick and he was bi and we were in love with the same boy and we once had a threesome while watching Hackers and this is the love song from that movie)
"November Rain" - Guns and Roses (It's guns n roses, duh oh and shannon hoon sings back-up)
"Jiggly Puff song" - Pokemon (I cannot really explain things like this)
"A Sorta Fairytale" - Tori Amos (i used to love tori...but I haven't bought an album since that awful choirgirl hotel thing and well, this is a song that I found from one of her recent albums that isn't so bad)
"Bitter Sweet Symphony" - The Verve (my ex husband had a happy hardcore version of this song that I loved, which made me love this version more)
* "Seventeen" - Ladytron (great song - perfect for mix albums)
* "Dance of the 7 veils" - Liz Phair (Oh liz phair...you used to be perfect, this proves it)
"Don't need a Reason" - Beth Orton (I don't own any beth orton albums, but I love her voice...this is a good download)
"Druken Butterfly" - Sonic youth (I lost the sonic youth album this song is from, so i had to download it because well, they rock)
"Let's Dance" - David Bowie (Why don't i own more bowie...i downloaded this because I love him...)
