I gotta (temp) job!!!
Wow!! Double Awesome!
Just before 1pm, I got a call from the hospital I'm supposed to train at tomorrow, and they want me to do the day time shift for at least the next 4 weeks!!! I am (temporarily) employed! She said that the receptionist had to go to on leave earlier than expected. So instead of training with her, I will be training with 2 people who sort of know what to do. Well, that takes care of all that anxiety I was feeling about not being able to handle the training. Now if I don't get it right away, I guess I can blame it on them.
I went to work and treated it like any other day. I catalogued and covered books. The director bfought in cup cakes and cookies, which she made me take, and a card. I didn't open it until I went to pick up the kids. She bought me a $20 gift card to Barnes and Noble!!! I guess she will miss me.
I had an hour more sick time, so I left early to try to get the kids after school care arranged. They'll be picked up and taken to day care, and I'll pick them up after 4, when I get off. I don't know how long it will take to get S on the Special ed bus. I asked Noah if he minded picking him up and droping him off before he goes to work for the next couple of days. I'm waiting on the call to see if that's necessary. and Im waiting on the call that will let me know how much the day care will be.
