I'm going somewhere!

Ohh, another week, 7 days closer to school.

Now that I've gotten the obligatory school-ness out of the way, here's my week:
Candise called me Friday and sounded like death. Shortly after, Crystal calls me and we make plans to go to Candise's on Saturday. On Saturday Crystal and I went to Candise's. Not much happened other than some upset moments, crazy grandma / aunt and XKCDness. Candise drove me home because she didn't want me to leave, it was cute :). (Yeah, I just put punctuation after an emoticon, and yeah, I know it looks awkward - so sue me!) Sunday I hung out with Andy, we watched ABC (Desperate Housewives and such), it was the usual.  *Edit* I totally forgot! On Friday I found out I won a calendar from Cedar Point! They had a contest where you could submit your favorite photo / story, and I wrote about the first time I brought Candise to Cedar Point, and won! Woo, free calendar!

This week my boss is getting to me. I guess the reality of him presenting my idea at an SAE (society of automotive engineers) conference is finally hitting me. I know that he had the idea, but I did literally all of the work. Now he's taking all my work and presenting it as his. I also know that those sort of things come with being an intern, but it still pisses me off. I can't wait to get out of Behr, it's stealing all hopes I had for any sort of work-ethics. I can see now in the professional world you need to grab what is yours and literally rip it from others in order to survive. I think I'll be able to figure out how to balance the conniving-ness of that with my good-willed attitude... at least I hope I'll be able to figure it out.

With Lambda news, crazy insane shit has been going down. Josh (our Alpha (president)) is not able to get enough money together to come back for school next term, so we need to find a new Alpha. Hooper is running, and I'm voting for him. Only problem is Hooper is the Tau (Treasurer). So, if Hooper wins then I'm going to step down from co-Delta (Recruitment), leaving Mikey to do Delta alone (he'll do fine... there's nothing big this term), and run for Tau. Hopefully I'll get it. I'm awesome with money, and super organized on the computer, so I think I'll do a good job.

I feel like making a new mix... I'm super torn between which direction I want to head though, electro-funk or hardcore rave. And there's no way I could meld the two as they're crazy polar opposites. Anywho... in closing are some words of wisdom from The  Whitest Boy Alive:

We find it hard to deal with when dreams come true,
As if happiness exists and the world affixed to a mound,
And if you feel up somebody somewhere else feels down.
Taking on responsibility knowing it will wear you down,
Freedom is a possibility only if you're able to say no.
