So my Dad got sent to China again on a business trip. Just in time for this! I am officially envious, even if he wasn't in the path of totality (he's in Beijing).
I've only seen the 1999 eclipse so far and it was brilliant. If only the next one close by wasn't in 20 years or so...
On an unrelated note, the 2nd part of Vivaldi's Winter that's just been on the radio I consider deeply ironic. I'm melting here, people! Summer is nice but over 30 C is just not my thing.
