Chicago Blackhawks forward Robert Lang was shipped to the Montreal Canadiens today in exchange for a 2nd round draft pick in 2010. While I'm a little steamed that the Hawks got rid of Lang instead of Nikolai Khabibulin, I'm glad they've gotten out of their cap trouble (With the acquisitions of Cristobal Huet and Brian Campbell, the Hawks were way over the cap).
On the other side, does this mean that the Habs have given up on acquiring Mats Sundin? Sundin and his agent have been meeting with various teams over the past week or so and the Canadian media is still reporting on it. Whoopee. You're running out of time, Mats, and my patience is running out, too.
