First day of college
Well, I'm back from my first day at NYU. I know all of you have been dying to hear about it (ok, just sam, jojo and alex, but still an audience is an audience). First off, let me say....HOLY SHIT!!! You know, they always tell you that college is different from high school...I believe that qualifies for understatement of the year! Here's a vague idea of how much teaching changes from high school to college....you know all that stuff we had down, like finding the answer in the book, writing it on your hand and repeating it to the teacher? Yeah, that's gone...you know why? Cause now there's NO ANSWER. All thoughts will be questioned, and there is no one right answer. Be prepared and forewarned. You know the saying "Think outside the box"? Well, college introduces the truth.....THERE IS NO DAMN BOX! (Good I fucking hated that saying anyway!)OK, now I'm done with my condescending rant, back to normal mode. The campus(if you can call it that) is b-e-a UTIFUL! I mean, you gotta love the city, and the campus is the city, and vice-versa. And despite being in the summer, the classes are unbelievably worthwhile. Even though it sucks when you hear that your friend is partying it up in reese park at the beach and your cousin is joyriding and killing pigeons while you're busting ass (Love ya sammy!) But still, it's worth the sacrifice. As for other events, umm, not much happening, but if something does happen, like a party, then....I'll be there and not here with the rest of the nerd...I mean, friends. Until next time then.
