Workout updates

Sooo guess I gave up on updating every day. Haha. It's so samey though! I don't want to write the same thing every day and I really doubt anyone wants to read it. But I've been keeping it up, though the last two weeks have had a few misses because of crazy hours between work and the play. I've been trying to workout at least five times a week (I think I succeeded? Might have only been four times last week?) Running is the hardest to keep up, because as it gets warmer, I'm less and less likely to go running later in the day, so I need to be able to do it in the morning. I did pilates for today, and I have work tomorrow; I'm going to try to get up at 6 and get a run in before work, because it's only forty minutes earlier than I have to wake up anyway, and I have to not be a pansy. Besides, I have work almost every day this week and the next, I canNOT miss running that much.

I'm definitely feeling the effects of working out and of getting more flexible (thank you, pilates). I have a lot more muscle in my arms and legs, especially in my inner thighs. I've got some pretty awesome biceps coming along too. Clothes are fitting a lot better, I have a flatter stomach, and my legs are becoming more defined. I've been focusing a little more on pilates than running, like I said above with timing and scheduling, but I wish it was the other way around; it's harder to keep myself motivated to go running, but since it's cardio, that's really what's going to help me lose fat and lose weight. Pilates obvis will help me lose weight too, but it's more a muscle building exercise; I want to focus on weight losing exercise. We're looking at a few apartments in chicago that have fitness centers, and that would be BEYOND ideal. I could go running every day (or at least five days a week), not worry about the time of day, unless I have to worry about busy hours - but I don't really mind working around my schedule to go less popular times of the day.

So working out is going well. I'm definitely eating healthier, much less junk food, and I really don't crave sweets as often, but also as it gets warmer my cravings for popsicles and freezepops go way way up. I think I can let myself get some freezepops, since they're basically sugarwater, and probably like fifteen calories apiece? Anyway.

Yeah! Pilates! Running!

pilates, getting healthy, running, working out
