Robert Sondheim "He makes sense"
Here's the blunt truth. I normally skirt around politics, as you are well aware. Yet, whenever someone whom is a friend of a friend of mine runs for office or whatnot, I immediately take interest. Why is that? All my life I have always been on the outskirts of politics, and I understand that exposure can be tough. After all, not only do they have to polish up their approach, but they've got to sell themselves. Horrible fact in life.
So when I found out about Robert Sondheim, I was excited. Excitement quickly lead to disappointment when I realized a small fact of life. He is running for a seat in the Seattle City Counsel. My vote won't matter - a small unheard voice, all because I live across the lake. And it sucks.
But, for lucky Seattleites, they get the chance at having a say in form of a vote. A solid number. If you live in Seattle, I strongly urge you to check out Mr. Sondheim.
Why?
Just why am I asking you to do something, when I have never asked a thing from you. Because as a candidate, he has a lot to offer.
1) He ain't no political newbie dahling.
2) For small businesses. Not to tax the living daylights out of them, but to actually nurture, help, and protect them. Count how many small businesses you frequent each week. Every single one of them will be affected positively.
3) Beef up the police force. Normally I would roll my eyes at this, but this is needed. Too many of us girls walk around with pepper spray in our purses, and that's just pathetic.
There are many more things that he is pushing to the plate, but those three were the critical points for me.
