Children of Bodom ended up not playung at the House of Blues last week. Apparently Alexi Laiho was having shoulder problems and couldn'tp lay. That kind of sucked, but at least God Forbid put on a good set, and did Municapal Waste (complete with a singer who had great banter: "This next song is going to titty-fuck your soul!"). As I lay Dying put on a great set, by far the best of the three bands that night. We left before Lamb of God went on, I only know one song by them so it would've been boring for me anyways.
Last week consisted of a lot of jamming with Jamie and the guys that (give or take) make up Jaynestown (me, Sleepy, and whoever happens to be around). It's been fun jamming with people. Jamie took filmed some of our jams and put up a clip of me playing online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcUgJXYJG_o Last week also consisted of fun times at Norm's house complete with rifftraxs and fun movies, not to mention OCB. Fun highlight: Greg has been home! It's always a fun time when GReg comes home. He brought his girlfriend with him. It's been fun to watch her react to our antics. There has also been the occasional Magic and Cthulhu games.
Went to Nick's birthday party saturday night. That was a fun time with some theatre and dance people in the same room. The following day was Anna's grad party, which was great fun for all. Frisbee, tons of food, fire pit, and shinanigans shinanigans shinanigans.
We had a record five hour band practice a few days ago, in which we got ready for our show on saturday night at Kilroy's. That'll be a nice way to spend my last in night in Braintree. We even put a new song together, "Where Did You Go?" I'm really digging this song and I'm excited to play it on saturday.
Tonight we're going to film a short skit for our eventual reincarnation of THE SHOW. Hopfully all will go well, and it'll be on the internet before you know it.
