After having
commiserated in front of the Temple of War, two of Discord's daughters set about finding their
brotherHope's determination was evident in her stride and the set of her jaw - a determination that masked a few misgivings about traipsing into unknown territory and looking for answers about Strife. It wasn't so much that she was worried

Ok... You obviously need to chill a bit. Ruina.... Take it from me, kissing really doesn't mean squat, honey. Did he come on to you, or did you try to make him forget his pain and suffering thanks to Ares? Her eyes flashed lightly as she talked, working off a feeling she got from the girl's silly crush as well as years of insight on human behavior, courtesy of being stuck on the mortal plane and an unhealthy obsession with soap operas Now unless he specifically told you that he was interested more in just hanging out, There's going to be a lot of problems. And if your the cause of them this time, don't think Eris and Enyo are going to let you show up and play nursemaid again. Even they, in their total and complete self-absorbment, have limits.
Now, Sir... She looked to Re, and did her best to keep a lid on her temper as she countered his words Strife has no baby momma, as you so eloquently put it, nor does he have children... nor does anyone up here really have need for Child Support. Apparently, Strife screwed up a bit...He's been through the wringer and back emotionally over the past few months, As Ruina well knows. And if he had an inkling as to how young she was, isn't no way he'd be pulling anything other then friendship.
Now you can malign him all you want, And when he's found, you can talk to him and set him straight and that's just fine... But as dysfunctional as my family is, I've got to draw a line at anyone causing my siblings bodily harm. Hell, someone had to watch out for them, as Eris and Enyo never bothered in their lives I'm sorry for all of this... the interruptions, my brother's apparent follies, my sister running off. This whole wandering into a family thing and settin people on edge is really my mother's thing, not mine.

Who did this bitch think she was, talking to her like that? What the FOOK did she know about anything?! She didn't! She didn't! She couldn't...
Rinna bounced back and forth between heartache and anger, and couldn't make up her mind about which one she more strongly felt. It made talking difficult. Finally she decided being angry was the best route, and would have opened her big mouth and told this stupid sister-of-Strife's just what to go and do, but...
But Re looked ready to throttle all of them already. And despite the fact that she absoutely hated this overpompous ass, he still made her nervous.
She'd had enough.
"You're just... you're not.. you're wrong!" Rinna sputtered.
And with that, she ran like hell out of this wackjob's temple.
Oh dear goodness, this wasn't going well. This wasn't going well at all. Nephthys looked over at Seth, who was still babbling in Spanish -- something about tequila? -- and then back to Re. Thankfully, one of the Greeks left, which would probably make Re happier... But Rinna running out like that? That wasn't caucluated to make a happy Re. And this other one, this Ate, she had some sort of nerve talking to Re like that. And Re, if she knew anything about him, would not be pleased. Whoever this Ate was, Nephthys was pretty sure that Re could hurt her pretty badly.
Not that she thought he would. But he could.
Nephthys stayed really, really quiet, though she was perched so precariously on the edge of this new-fangled seat of Re's, that she might be in threat of falling off.

"Oh, you're gonna need to draw the line, are you, shorty?" Re snorted. "Honey, if I wanted to jack your brother up, I'm thinkin' there wouldn't be a whole hell of a lot you could do about it. You gonna have to forgive me," he said for politeness' sake, "if whatever drama your brother been through the past few months ain't of no concern to me. What is of concern to me is him toyin' with a little girl's emotions, especially when that little girl is my kin."
Before he could continue in that vein, Ruina had bolted out of the temple, and his eyes widened.
"You gonna have to excuse me," he said, then muttered, "Goddamn little girls. Never shoulda let no females into the family."
He disappeared from the temple in search of the little goddess.

"I'm really sorry about all that," she said to the room in general. "I was... Where's Re? and Ruina?"
She looked at Ate, who looked seriously unhappy, then at Nephthys, who looked a completely different kind of unhappy, then at Seth, who just looked... crazy.
"Shit," she said. "What'd I miss?"

She scowled at her amazing reappearing sister, and headed for the door, pausing for a moment to look at Nephthys.
Just so you know... What you think happened? That's not at all what went down. Didn't seem to keep you down for long, though.
Thank you for your hospitality... please pass the thanks onto Re.
she turned back towards the door and strolled out quickly

Following Elpis to the door, she smiled weakly to the remaining Greek.
"Be well," she said softly.
