After having
commiserated in front of the Temple of War, two of Discord's daughters set about finding their
brother.
Hope's determination was evident in her stride and the set of her jaw - a determination that masked a few misgivings about traipsing into unknown territory and looking for answers about Strife. It wasn't so much that she was worried about reprisals from the Egyptians. After all, no matter how crazy gods could be, they usually didn't attack just for having been asked a question. But there was the bigger problem.
There would be strangers.
Of course, the Greeks and the Egyptians had been hanging out practically forever - so there was some familiarity there. But they weren't family, and it wasn't like she made a habit of chilling on the Nile ever.
So they were still strangers.
Hope wasn't so good with strangers. Divine strangers, at least. Mortals? No problem. Hope knew mortals; Hope liked mortals (when they weren't being assholes). But gods?
Eugh.
Ignoring the uncomfortable clench in her stomach, she looked around at the ancient architecture of the Egyptian temples. Trying to feel for something, anything Greek (which Ruina be, right?), she led Ate toward a grandoise temple that was really bright, and had a white caddy in the driveway.
"Whaddayou think? Here?" she asked Ate.
Elpis had taken the lead. She'd picked the path and walked them down it.
But she really hoped Ate wasn't going to make her knock.
