Rex misses his old home. He misses being outside where he can fly anywhere he wants, and eat all the insects he can catch. Most of all, he misses being part of a clan.
It isn’t all bad, though. His girl feeds him, and grooms him, and gives him attention. His boy smuggles tasty forbidden food when the girl isn’t looking. When they are sitting together, Rex likes to squeeze in between them, nestled in the warmth against a leg or a chest, and let them scratch behind his wings.
They are his clan now, and this is his home.
