First quarter(ish) update

Considering that in January I said I was going to try to post more regularly this year, that doesn't seem to have worked out so well, because it's now May. Oops.

Anyway, just a quick update, and then I'll get on with posting some very late book reviews.

I'd love to tell you which hospital, but I don't even know that either! The main gynaecology department is based at City Hospital, which is where I've always gone to see the consultant, but at the assessment (which was at QMC Treatment Centre) they said they also do some of the procedures at QMC, so it could be either, and I won't know until I finallly get the call/letter.

It's really not inspiring confidence... :-(

Definitely glad I went to World of Stonehenge. It's on until the middle of July, and originally the plan was that if the op was happening in Feb, then I should more or less recovered by the end of April, so I had been intending to go to the exhibition in May or June. The longer time dragged on, I realised if I wanted to go, I'd better go now, because if they suddenly give me an op date and then it takes two months to recover, I might not have chance to go at all.

It's not so much the length of time it's taking (although that is annoying), it's more the uncertainty, and the inability to make any plans for anything more than a few weeks ahead that is really frustrating.
