By the very nature of hurt/comfort prompts, a lot of my recent fic has been a bit dark and angsty. So I thought it was time for something a little more fun and fluffy. And then this happened

*happy sigh* I hadn't realised how much I missed this triangular friendship - where everything's pretty much balanced and equal. (Am having a few issues with canon Jason atm as it feels like he's moved into leader/followers mode a lot of the time.) I liked the shifting pov - and esp. that Hercules was more than comic relief. *g* I think the Pythagoras should keep that breastplate - it would give him some protection in their many battles! Am thinking that Jason may be a wee bit jealous of someone else getting up close and persona with Pythagoras.
Heehee! Glad you liked it. I have to admit, I really enjoyed writing this one. With the hurt/comfort bingo I have been writing a lot of dark, nasty and angsty stuff for the last few months, but this was just *fun*. Plus, as soon as I had that mental image of Pythagoras wearing Jason's armour I giggled for a long time. And possibly drooled a little ;-)
(Am having a few issues with canon Jason atm as it feels like he's moved into leader/followers mode a lot of the time.)Oh, don't even get me started on that! I've been doing review posts for the series 2 episodes, and this is something that I have been wittering about in practically every episode review. There is a real sense of separation in series 2, of Jason going off and doing things on his own while Hercules and Pythagoras work together as a team. And even when they are working together, as you say, Jason seems to just take charge and *expect* the others to do what he wants, regardless of how they feel about the situation

*g* Ah, D1, I have to confess to reading your lovely reviews and not commenting! I'm a little afraid that the moment I start thinking too deeply about Atlantis an ocean of snark will be unleashed and no amount of going 'la la la pretty boys' will be enough! Which would be ok if it were just me but no excuse to ruin things for other people. And it does ruin things

I know what you mean, though. When I'm doing those review posts I'm struggling to find much positive to say about Jason this year. He's become surprisingly unlikeable with his attitude, and especially the way he's treating his friends, which is a shame.
I do love what they've done with Hercules, though. I think this year we've got the Hercules that a lot of people *wished* we'd had in series 1. With Jason mostly acting like a dick, and Pythagoras hardly doing anything at all, Hercules has probably become the best one in the show! But yes, hopefully Py will be getting *something* to do quite soon... ;-)
Hmmm... yes. What happened to my happy funny bromancey 'Men Behaving Badly set in Ancient Greece' show?!
