Fanfic: Identity Crisis

By the very nature of hurt/comfort prompts, a lot of my recent fic has been a bit dark and angsty. So I thought it was time for something a little more fun and fluffy. And then this happened ( Read more... )

*g* Ah, D1, I have to confess to reading your lovely reviews and not commenting! I'm a little afraid that the moment I start thinking too deeply about Atlantis an ocean of snark will be unleashed and no amount of going 'la la la pretty boys' will be enough! Which would be ok if it were just me but no excuse to ruin things for other people. And it does ruin things.

Jason is a problem - and possibly one of the reasons I'm failed spectacularly to finish your SS on time. He's just not likable atm. I like your theory - and it would make good dramatic sense. I think the split might also be along the lines of the writers trying to give Ariadne something to do - but not being able to bear to make her competent on her own account without a hero to save her - and flesh out the Ariadne/Jason relationship.

That said, I am very happy with the way Hercules has developed this year. It was taking everything Mark Addy had to give him some depth last year and at least now he's being helped somewhat by the script. And I think Robert Emms is a due a major plot development....hmmmm *winks*

And what is it with all the missing brothers? (Arghhh! It's starting. Pretty boys. Pretty boys. Pretty boys. La la la.)

Thank you again. This is the friendship dynamic that sold me on the show. :)

Oh dear, I didn't mean to set you off, lol!

I know what you mean, though. When I'm doing those review posts I'm struggling to find much positive to say about Jason this year. He's become surprisingly unlikeable with his attitude, and especially the way he's treating his friends, which is a shame.

I do love what they've done with Hercules, though. I think this year we've got the Hercules that a lot of people *wished* we'd had in series 1. With Jason mostly acting like a dick, and Pythagoras hardly doing anything at all, Hercules has probably become the best one in the show! But yes, hopefully Py will be getting *something* to do quite soon... ;-)

Hmmm... yes. What happened to my happy funny bromancey 'Men Behaving Badly set in Ancient Greece' show?!
