AN: as I tend to write fic for all genres already, I challenged myself to write about characters that I don’t normally focus on.
Lester gripped the edges of the sink, forcing his hands to stop shaking. He suspected he only had a few moments before someone came looking for him.
He closed his eyes, and one by one he locked away the memories; the predator, the teeth, the flash of claws, the fear. Especially the fear.
He needed to get control. He couldn’t… no, he wouldn’t let them see him like this. He needed control.
Lester let go of the sink and looked at his hands. Perfectly steady. See? Complete control.
For a moment he almost believed it. Even if nobody else did.
