Connor knew some basic first aid. He knew there were things he was supposed to check for - breathing, pulse, heartbeat. He knew you shouldn’t move unconscious people in case it made their injuries worse.
I have to get him out of here.
“Just... sit with me.”
None of that seemed relevant here, though. Connor didn’t have to check. He knew there was nothing he could do.
Please don’t leave me.
“We’ve always done it together.”
He could feel the life ebbing away with every increasingly laboured breath.
Not again. Not like Tom, please, not like Tom again.
“Tell Claudia Brown...”
