lost and fringe: same universe?
you just have to give props to jj abrams and the change that he has instilled in the viewing habits of people. the numerous crossovers that he has presented in lost has made watching these shows like solving a moving where's wally puzzle.
these expectations have been present to fans ever since fringe premiered this fall, and we were more or less grasping on signs that could be interconnected. since the pilot, we have only been treated one, where the bald man who appears in "pattern" events walked out of an elevator before an event occurred.
yes that was good, but not good enough to make those message boards theorize to death the implications and meanings of the sighting. however, just this morning, i found another easter egg myself.
in this week's episode during the part where olivia was searching the room of the massive dynamic employee who jumped to death, i paused the show unwittingly and there it was, the airline ticket that olivia held was from oceanic air. hell yeah..
of course oceanic has been used by other abrams shows like alias, but this gives us a lot of room from hypothesizing prematurely.
on the top of my head, i could ask: is the dharma initiative funded by massive dynamic? is the island part or the fruition of the pattern?
