driving uneasy
because of items in the news, as well as me personally witnessing accidents, i've been feeling uneasy driving this past few days.
sure, i still drive a faster pace than majority of filipino drivers out there, but it's not my driving i'm worried about. it's the other thousands of drivers in the metro that is a concern. do you know that scene in movies and shows where a couple is driving along, talking, then suddenly a speeding vehicle rams them from the side? that's what i'm talking about.
i'm sure that what happened in the accident a few weeks ago at the nlex, where a bus overtaking another vehicle collides head on with a revo on the opposite lane, literally slicing the revo into two and killing a few people. did the driver of the revo made a mistake? of course not.
and it really doesn't help that our public works department isn't the best one the executive branch handles (do they even have one?). one night i was driving home from work and was now at marcos highway when i noticed a small flame. it was, apparently, the only indicator of some roadwork going. great.
i guess we with all this screwed up, we really only attribute to luck that we don't hear about major accidents everyday.
