2008 and Beyond

Where did you begin 2008? Franklin St., Chapel Hill NC
What was your status by Valentine's Day? Taken...three days away from celebrating our anniversary.
Did you have to go to the hospital? Not on New Years, but I had surgery in March 2008
Where did you go on vacation? New Orleans with Kathryn, St. Lucia with the Smith's and I guess you can sort of count New Zealand.
Did you know anybody who got married? So many people got married since we graduated. At least one a month gets engaged and I can count over 6 that have been married since I have been in NZ.
Did you know anybody who passed away? Old people from work die all the time (ok...not ALL the time).
Where do you live now? Napier, New Zealand
What was your best month? July
Who has been your best drinking buddy? Kathryn or Mike
Made new friends? Yup yup
Favorite Night[s] out? Friday. I hate spending all Sunday recovering.
Any regrets? No, not really. Thinks that might have been regrets are now seen to be blessings.
What do you want to change in 2009? Oi...get in shape. Be a happier, healthier me all the time. Move to Honolulu, Austin or LA (these are potential grad school spots).
Overall, how would you rate this year? On a scale of 1-10? 12
Have any life changes in 2008? Many life changes! Graduated from College. Moved to New Zealand. Living with the boyfriend for the first time ever. Had my first REAL full time job. Took paid vacation for the first time ever. (Maybe these aren't all life changes).
Change your hairstyle? Kind of....been growing it out, but it was quite short.
Get a new job? YUP! Diversional Therapist/Activities Coordinator.
How old did you turn this year? 22
Do you have a New Year's resolution? To be happier, healthier, make more definite plans for grad school.
Did anything embarrassing? Constantly make mistakes, but none of them bothered me so much that I remember them.
Get married or divorced? Nope
Be honest - did you watch American Idol? No
Start a new hobby? Not really sure...done lots of things I have never done before, but not in a capacity that I would consider it a new hobby.
Been snowboarding? Nope.
Are you happy to see 2008 go? I guess. It's more that I am even more excited for 2009.
Drank Starbucks in 2008? Yeah. My last semester I would get Chai there several times a week.
Been naughty or nice? Probably more nice.
What are you wishing for in 2009? Inner peace and acceptance. Gratitude.
