detailed beach trip with Lien
Lien and i saw a play on friday night, The Mystery of Irma Vep in Crystal City, then went to that 24 hour Korean restaurant in Annandale...then decided, right then, to leave right away for Ocean City.
a trip to 7-11, home, and a few minutes later...we were on our way to Ocean City.
3.5 hours later, exhausted, confused, and excited we were there to see the sunrise, or attempt to. too bad i fell asleep, but its ok because according to her i didnt miss anything special except clouds.
she then fell asleep.
half sleeping, she called my name loudly, i replied also half asleep.
"yeah?"
"we should go parasailing"
"huh...ok, i dont know if they have it here"
"ok, but if they do, let's go"
"sure..ok"
::falls back asleep::
3 hours later we wake up, hit the water, see some shops, then ask about parasailing.
1.5 hours later were on the pier on Wicomico St, registration done, and waiting for our boat from Island Motor Sports to arrive:
less than a half hour later, we're 800 feet in the air suspended by a rope. theres no good picture of that unfortunately.
the experience was amazing. a little rough at first, and then? floating. we know were being suspended by a parachute, some ropes and harnesses but we felt like we were floating. we could see a whole lotta stuff from up there. and the people on the beach and boardwalk looked oh so tiny. we saw past the city, and one of the bridges we drove on to get to Ocean City. After being so high up, the drivers Joe and Jeff dropped us down to a lower level, twice, then lower than that to almost water level and let us touch our feet to the water.

it was, amazing, and exhilerated. i was very happy we did that.
after that we did a whole bunch of shopping..by we, i mean her. which is ok because she'd never been there before and the shops did as their were supposed to: tempt her to spend money. she bought a few pieces of clothing, as did i. and i got a hat too.
we then left at 5pm.
