Summary: A mysterious boy always appears in Jinyoung’s dreams and becomes more familiar as time passes. With each passing day he escapes into the dreams as if he’s being pulled in further and further with each one he has. It comes to the point where he never wants to be pulled out.
A/N: I’m not exactly sure this is what you wanted but I did my best to stick to the prompt you gave me.
Jinyoung was pulled along by a boy with a huge smile on his face and a snap back pushing his hair from his eyes. The other had quite a few earrings that were spiky and they fascinated him. They gave off the bad boy vibe and the male in from of him seem like anything but as he talked excitedly about anything that seemed to pop into his mind.
"Where are you taking me?"
"It's not an adventure of we have a set destination Jinyoung."
"How do you know my name?"
"What are you talking about, Jinyoung?" The male stopped walking as he turned to look at the other. He had the same smile in place as he gave his hand a small squeeze, "We've known each other for years."
-
The sound of Jinyoung's alarm had the other suddenly jerking awake as he slid of the side of his bed and landed on the floor with a thud. He sat up on the floor and looked around his room in confusion, his mind wasn't fully awake yet. "Finally." Jinyoung looked around the room in confusion as he attempted to find the source of the voice. A few minutes passed before he looked to his room door and noticed his roommate standing there with a toothbrush in hand. "That thing had been going on and off for the past half-hour, if you don't hurry you're going to be late for your classes.
He blinked as the words registered in his mind, his head slowly turning to look at his alarm clock and reading the 8:30 in bright red lights. Everything seemed to click at once and he was off the floor in a matter of seconds. "Why didn't you wake me up Mark!?" He yelled the question as he rushed to the closet to get clothes, "I'm going to be late!"
"Hey, don't blame me. I did try to get you up but you were sleeping like the dead and no matter what I did you refused to budge." Jinyoung ran pass Mark and towards the bathroom to take a quick shower, it was around the time of final exams at his collage. He couldn't risk missing any classes.
He was in and out of the shower in under ten minutes and changed into his clothes in less than two. He made sure his hair was dry enough to not drip all over the floor before he rushed to grab his things. He stole a piece of toast from Mark's plate on the kitchen table and was about to run out of the apartment when the other called after him. He turned around to see the other holding one of his papers that he had to turn in that day or suffer a huge blow to his grades for not turning it in on time. He quickly took it from the other as he said his thanks, he was out of the door before the other could even respond.
He ran all the way to the bus stop and made it just as the bus was pulling up next to the curb. He was out of breath but felt the joy of making it on time, he saved himself a couple of minutes so he would actually make it to class on time. The bus was practically empty so he was able to have a seat all to himself the whole fifteen minute ride to his college.
He hopped off the bus and made sure to thank the bus driver before making a run for school, he only had five minutes left and all his time was precious. He made it into his classroom just minutes seconds before the teacher did and was quick to take a seat as he tried to control his breathing. "How rare." He looked over to see Jackson sitting next to him with a smile, "You were almost late."
"How rare," he said back once he had caught his breath, "You were actually on time."
"Touchè." Jackson gave a laugh before slapping Jinyoung on the back, "But you know there is a first to everything." He rolled his eyes to the other as he pulled his laptop from his bag and turned to focus on the computer. He needed to take all the notes that he could and the sound of light snoring was going to be his accompanying soundtrack. Jackson had fallen asleep just minutes after the teacher started his lecture, he was honestly confused about how the other was passing. He always seemed to be sleeping in class.
The day seemed to drag on and by the time he arrived home all he wanted to do was crash in bed and not think about all the projects that he had less than a week to finish. He threw his bag to the floor just as Mark poked his head out from the kitchen. "Long day?"
"That's not even the half of it." He let out a sigh as he scratched the back of his head as his eyes traveled down to his bag. He didn't want to do any work, he just wanted to lay down and forget the world for a little while.
"You look worn out." Mark looked behind him for a few seconds before turning his attention back to Jinyoung, "Go ahead and leave your things there. Dinner should be ready in a little bit, go take a nap I'll get you once it's ready." He gave the other a small appreciative smile before giving him a small wave and heading towards his room.
Once he entered his room he didn't even bother to take anything off as he moved towards his bed and fell face first into it. The work load was only piling up as the final exam drew closer and his teachers didn't seem to realize, or care, that they had different classes.
-
Jinyoung felt someone try to shake him awake and his first person that popped into his mind was Mark. He rolled over to his side and mumbled out, "Just five more minutes."
"If you sleep anymore you'll miss all the fun." The first thing that seemed to register in Jinyoung's mind was that the voice he heard didn't belong to Mark. "Come on get Jinyoung." Even though the voice didn't belong to Mark it sounded oddly familiar. The voice said his name once more and his eyes shot open, realization hitting him. He had to blink a few times before the face in front of him came into focus.
"It's you..."
The boy laughed, "Of course it's me, who else would it be?" Jinyoung blinked at the question but said nothing in response. His silence didn't phase the other as he easily pulled Jinyoung up into a sitting position, "Come on I found something amazing and you have to come see it." Without waiting for a response from Jinyoung he easily pulled him up and off the bed before leading him towards the door, only slowing down to allow him to put shoes on his feet.
"Where are we going?" Jinyoung asked after being pulled along for a little over ten minutes. He wasn't resisting the other even though he had only met him once in a sort of cryptic meeting but the other seemed familiar.
"You'll see when we get there." He didn't bring up anymore questions even though the other's words weren't much of an answer. He felt like the other wasn't leading him somewhere that potentially dangerous and he was always one to believe in his gut feeling.
Though when the buildings started to become scarce and their surroundings turned slowly from city to green he should've felt a little bit wary. He should have started thinking of the worst kind of situations. Such as being left to die and decompose in the middle of no where, some place his body wouldn't have been found until he could no longer be identified. Horrible scenarios such at that never really crossed his mind as he let the familiar stranger pull him along. Instead of feeling scared as time passed his curiosity grew.
-
Jinyoung was forced awake as he hit the hard ground. He sat up and it took him a couple of minutes to realize he was on the floor instead of on his own bed. He blinked and relied the Mark was pushing someone out of his room. "I'm so sorry about him, Jackson thought he'd give you a wake up call and I really did try to stop him. If you're hungry lunch is on the table." With that Mark was out the door before Jinyoung could even fully process the other's words.
He blinked a few times after Mark's departure before the other's words were fully processed in his mind. "Lunch?!" His eyes widened as he started to panic, he had already missed first and second class. The whole day was passing by without him. He jumped up off the floor and almost tripped several times in his attempt to untangle his legs from his blanket.
Mark reentered the room on Jinyoung's fifth attempt at getting himself free. "Don't worry about school I already emailed your professors' and told them you collapsed last night from lack of sleep and overworking yourself. With how heavy your sleep was last night the excuse probably isn't far from the truth. Jackson's gonna head back to uni once his break between classes is over and go around gathering notes on everything you missed so don't sweat it." Jinyoung slowed down and carefully untangled himself from his seats before letting himself fall back into the bed.
"No sleeping." Mark moved over to the bed and started to pull the other up and back onto his feet, "Let's go eat something. You didn't even eat yesterday and you missed breakfast so you're going to eat now whether you like it or not." Jinyoung groaned but made no more protests then that as he followed Mark out of his room and towards the kitchen.
"Wah, it's a zombie." Jinyoung ignored Jackson's remark as he sat down at the table. Mark put a plate in front him and he stared at it in a daze for a few minutes before he actually began eating. Jackson leaned forward to place his elbow on the table and his chin in the palm of his hand. He tilted his head to the side and watched on before turning his head so he could look at Mark. "He really is a zombie."
Mark shoved his shoulder, "Shut up and get to class, you need to gather what Jinyoung missed." The younger stuck his tongue out in protest but said nothing more as he waved goodbye and made his way out of the apartment. The eldest followed after him to lock the door and returned to the kitchen to sit across from his roommate.
"Were you able to finish your homework last night?" At the question Jinyoung stopped with the spoon halfway to his mouth and let out a sigh. It was all the answer the other needed as he continued to eat and Mark decided not to ask anymore questions.
Once Jinyoung was done eating he stood up from the table and gave a quite thanks before yawning and heading back into his room. He didn't even bother to close the door as he gave his bed one last look of longing before heading to his desk and starting on his project.

The next week passed by as a blur full of coffee and exams. He barely slept to keep himself from failing and his dreams were nearly forgotten as the week of exams came slowly to an end.
"It's finally over," Mark said as Jinyoung threw himself down on the couch in the living room, "Now all you're waiting for are the results, right?" Jinyoung gave a weak nod as his response as he turned over so his face was buried in the couch. Mark let out a chuckle and Jinyoung felt a blanket being placed over his body. "I'm going to go hang out with Jackson, I think you've earned some well deserved rest. Sleep all you can, I'm not sure when I'll be home."
Jinyoung made a grunting noise to assure the other that he was listening. He pulled the blanket tight against him as he listened to Mark gather the necessities before leaving. The last sound he remembered hearing was the sound of the door locking.
-
"Are you finally awake?" At the sound of the all too familiar voice Jinyoung's eyes flew open. He was in a unfamiliar clearing with his head rating on the other's lap. The male's fingers were running through his hair in a soothing fashion.
"Jaebum." He stopped taking for a moment as he blinked in confusion. The name was familiar but it wasn't one that he had ever remembered hearing so he couldn't understand how it easily slipped of his lips.
"You fell asleep,"Jaebum said and Jinyoung could see the small smile on his lips as he spoke, "You looked so peaceful I couldn't bare to wake you." He slowly sat up from the other's lap, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. As he looked around at their surroundings.
"Where are we?"
"You don't remember?" He shook his head and Jaebum let out a light laugh, "Just watch the sky and wait a few minutes." He looked up at the sky like he was instructed to while Jaebum looked down at his watch. A few minutes passed before the other started to count down from ten. Jinyoung gave him a questioning look but the other simply pointed towards the sky so Jinyoung returned his eyes to the sky.
Just as Jaebum reached the number one the sky started to become streaked with bright lights. "Wah, it's a meteor shower." His voice was full of awe as he watched as more steaks covered the sky. It was so beautiful that time seemed to pass by slowly.
-
"Jinyoung!" He turned at the sound of his name and was nearly tackled to the ground. It took a couple of minutes to regain his balance as the other clung onto his arm. "It's summer time and I feel like I barely see you anymore!"
"I'm sorry Kunpimook, I've been busy."
"You always say that." Kunpimook pulled away with a pout on his lips.
"I really have been busy."
"Mark says you've just been in your room and never really leaving it. That doesn't seem like you're all that busy to me."
"I'm looking for places to intern in and looking for a part time since I'm taking a break from school for a little while. I'm doing much more than nothing." He gave Kunpimook a smile but he could tell that the other didn't really buy his excuse. The younger male latched himself onto Jinyoung's arm with his pout still in place.
"Live a little, just come out with us tonight. Yugyeom and Youngjae will be there, you know it's been awhile since we've seen them. Please just put off your busy schedule for a day, even you deserve to have a bit of fun." It didn't take long before Jinyoung was caving to Kunpimook's pout and he agreed, making the other jump in joy. "You won't regret this! I'll text you the details!" The younger male was off before he could get another word out and he just shook his head slightly at the other. He was about to head back home when his phone rang, he pulled it out of his pocket to see a new message from Kunpimook giving him all the details with a cute warning at the end.
“You better be there or I’ll cry.” He read the last part out loud with a small smile before putting the phone back in his pocket, “He looks so cute when he’s crying though.”

Jinyoung ended up keeping his promise if going to Kunpimook's party. Though the only thing he wanted to do once he got home was to fall asleep he pushed all those thoughts away and got ready to go to the party. He regretted his decision as soon as he entered the home. Loud music bounced off the walls and many guests were everywhere. In the past he lived for times where he could release all his school related stress but now all he wanted to do was sleep. He just wanted to meet Jaebum in his dreams and not have to worry about anything.
"You made it!" Jinyoung could barely hear Jackson even as the other did his best to scream over the noise, "Come on I'll take you to see Youngjae and Yugyeom, they arrived early." He barely processed the other's words before he was grabbed by the wrist and pulled through the crowd of people. By the time they reached the other side of the crowd Jinyoung could see Youngjae and Yugyeom hanging out by the drink table. Jackson continued to pull him towards the table until the other was sure he would be able to be heard over the nose. "I found him!" Everyone turned at the announcement and Youngjae was the first to pull Jinyoung into a bone crushing hug while Yugyeom just have the elder a simple two finger salute.
Jinyoung smiled to his two friends but the smile felt stained to him betraying the fact that he just wanted to go back home. He was happy to see his two friends but he still wished he could be sleeping. Nothing about the party excited him like it used to, now the bright lights looked no more than lackluster to him.
He lasted a whole hour at the party before he finally decided that he was too tired to stay. He excused himself to the bathroom and managed to sneak out undetected. Letting out a yawn he hopped into the driver's side of Mark's car and decided that he was still awake enough to make it home in one peace. He looked at the clock on the dash and realized it was just a bit past midnight, by the time he would get back to the apartment Mark was surely already going to be asleep.
"Let's go." He spoke quietly to himself as he started up the car and manouvered around some cars in order to get on the street. Once he was free of Kunpimook's lawn he was speeding of in the direction of his shared apartment.
They lived an hour away from each other and around the half-hour mark he felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier. Just a little more. He shook his head as he willed his eyes to stay open. Ten minutes passed and his eyes slipped closed just as he was approaching a red light. He didn't hear the car horns blared or feel the impact as his car was hit on so hard that it flipped in the air.
-
Jinyoung made a sound of protest as he felt someone piling his cheeks and flipped himself over. "Jinyoungie, you can't sleep here." The voice was so familiar to him now that all he did was seat away the offending finger and did his best to fall back into a peaceful slumber. It didn't take long before the offending hand was pinching his cheek.
"I don't want to go back," he mumbled out the words with his eyes still shut tight. He missed the smile that settled on the other's lips as he stroked the sleepy male's hair.
"You dont have to go anywhere, we can stay together forever now." Jinyoung smiled at the words and snuggled his head further into Jaebum's lap, "But we have to move under shelter, its about to rain."
"Don't wanna." Jaebum laughed at the pout and did his best to not tousle the other as he picked him up into his arms. Jinyoung automatically wrapped his arms around the others neck once the ground was no longer underneath his body.
"Let's go princess."
