What does it say about my adjustedness (or lack thereof) that I had deeper, more successful conversations with my seatmate on the plane back to school than I did with my siblings?
I am back in Ohio, yippee. Determined to make this semester a good one. I'm starting it off right by doing all the errands on my list...except for violin stuff. Maybe I should get on that.
Finished my insulation socks! I did all the knitting on the last one at home, and sewed in the ends on the plane. I can't wait to show them off tonight, as well as wear them the next time it rains.
I just got done with my first three classes of the semester, only two more to discover. I left the last one surprisingly hopeful about my chances. I'm a habitual high scorer, but also a habitual procrastinator. I'm trying to plan good habits from the get-go this year. Still a lot to do, but I'm whittling it down at a better rate than last year. Trying for at least two items on my list(s) each day this week.
My next knitting project, which I started mid-plane-ride, is an Owl Hat called Who? Have a
link, it's a cute little pattern that just may end up using the last of my giant skein of creamy off-white wool I got for Christmas last year. I might even wear it...maybe. I'm not much of a hat person, but at least I have a roomie to shower gifts on now.
Speaking of gifts, I exchanged belated Christmas presents with my roomie yesterday night. She complained so much about her futon being uncomfortable that I got her a mattress cushion. She was appropriately grateful. She got me some novelty cocoa mix and Harry Potter's Unofficial Cookbook. It's frakking awesome.
And that is all, my lovely(es?) Have a wonderful night,
Greeny
