[Ardent turns on the video, and he is a perfect, sort-of-threatening chav. He's sat in a McDonalds, wearing Ray's Cubs hoodie, hood up, stuffing a Big Mac into his face. Dwarfs like fast food, it turns out. He chews for a moment, then looks up at the camera

[Ray's slouching in a chair across from Ardent, his right ankle resting on his left knee. He's got a box of fries in one hand and is currently trying to reach his coke that's sitting on the table without having to sit up.]

[He's quite happy with the progression of things so far. The museums were mind-numbingly dull, but the gift shops were alright. And Ardent, for once, is happy, so that's a success. He's planning to send Ardent off on his own once they've finished lunch, and is actually feeling okay about leaving Ardent on his own.]

Thought about a costume yet? We're supposed to get one. [Munch munch munch fries. He eyes Ardent, taking in the Cubs hoodie with a dry smirk.] 'a course, you could just wear that.

[Ardent looked up at Ray, and had another obnoxiously loud slurp of his coke,] What... exactly is the purpose of these costumes? Is this some kind of cultural celebration?

[He frowned. He didn't know if he wanted to join in human customs.]

[Ray shrugs.] Dunno 'bout cultural. Mostly, it's an excuse to dress up and act stupid. Oh, and eat candy till you're sick. At least when you're a kid.

[Ardent looks unimpressed, but has a few fries before answering,] But... we're not kids, Ray.

And the Sexbys are Puritans, by the way. Although I'm not really a big fan of the Puritans that held the witch trials...the Sexbys are cool, though.

Mmmph. Got to love it.

Are they? Well, I have to say I admire them [He doesn't know they're the worst puritans ever.] for their dedication to their God and his words. And the work ethic!
