I. CAN'T. WAIT. FOR. UBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything I learn about it and every new thing I find out I can be a part of... I can't even wait to get there!
I'm getting really excited about the choir. I'm hoping that I'm good enough to get into the biggest one. I had thought I might take a break from choirs, since I was getting so frustrated with this one in T-Bay. But this one was all less-than-amateurs. Some of them can't read music or sing in tune to save their lives. But I remember singing in the U of Guelph choir. and it was freaking awesome!
The biggest UBC choir has about 150 singers in it. And I was just looking at all their concert halls and the HUGE music department they have and just the thought of the sound that 150 GOOD singers (a lot of whom are IN the music department) can make. I really want to be a part of that. I'm anxious to audition already!
In the choir here in T-bay it's easy to stand out for anyone who has ANY kind of musical theory or ensemble knowledge and experience. In the UBC choirs, EVERYONE will be really good. I can't assume I'll get in. But I really really hope I can. I can't skip a year of choir - I think I would miss it way too much.
did I mention that UBC is paying my tuition for me?
