This many-layered mystery is big on setting, suspects, and questions. Tessa is a strong lead character, and her rekindling relationship with her former bff is nice. The reader may wonder how the author can wrap up so many pieces in under 350-pages, and the answer is with a couple of chapters of expository explanation at the very end, which felt a bit rushed.
