I would very much encourage you to send the same thing to your Senators and Representative - or better yet, send and call. Especially if they're Dems - tell them we want a new bill, not a Band-Aid on the old one.

Also, internet-high-five on political activity!

My mom told me that my dad sat down late last week to email their Senators and Rep. Dad's not usually as politically - hmm, not that he's not active... - he's not usually as politically outspoken as Mom or I. So that kind of said a lot, too. It's definitely something that's moving the country into action.

Haha, as you wrote that, I was in the process of re-wording my letter for my Senators and Representatives. Sent, sent, and sent.

I was glad to read your post on the Army's deeds.

Unfortunately, my family is very much not politically active. Also, their politics are vastly different than mine. No need to try and instigate them to propose some conservative based values legislation...

Well said!
I think the most awesome part of what you wrote is that these are legitimate and thinking arguments that I have yet to hear anyone attempt to address in the media. Most people are turning it into a smoke and mirrors bipartisan duel.

I do get a sick pleasure out of watching GW sit there all limp-dicked and ignored.

You are the Trig to my Piper. :)
