I feel invigorated

I sent an email to POTUS regarding the bailout.
I am not an economist.
I am a liberal registered democrat.
I believe in socialism but I don't believe in the bailout.

I doubt my email will amount to much, but if enough citizens are concerned with the direction of this current incarnation of the bailout plan, maybe it will make a difference. Perhaps a bailout is necessary, but I don't believe that the current plan has enough oversight, forethought, or citizen approval to be successful.

Maybe you disagree with me. Let me know why.

To POTUS:
I oppose the proposed bailout plan. It makes me physically ill that my government has persistently allowed the systematic removal of implemented fail safes. These fail safes were necessary to avoid the catastrophic economic collapse that we may experience.

In my opinion, this bailout is not going to prevent financial collapse for the average citizen. You are perpetuating the theory that government will protect the wealthy from failure, but not the poor. I'd like to congratulate my government on failing its constituents by not only allowing the situation to occur but also by assisting big business with a bailout.

Finally, if there are some unseen reasons that a bailout is absolutely necessary, we the people require proof. We no longer accept your word as fact. We will not be fooled by weapons of mass destruction in our economy. We will not stand for a proposal that exempts the bailout from external review. We demand to know how our tax dollars will be spent. Finally, we want oversight.
