Cross posted to male_subslave and deebeepLast Friday I spent the day at home, and was ordered to remain naked all day, save for my chastity belt. Despite being a sub, I'm normally clothed for purely practical reasons, unless we're specifically going to play ( Read more... )

that is just 100% unfair to the vanilla people you interact with

It harms nobody. People don't have some inherent right to not be offended, or to not be exposed to ideas they don't like. I'd never force someone to participate, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with the scenario you presented, that of telling the girl at the counter why you are buying the lingerie.

People don't have an inherent right to not be put in "an uncomfortable position". What if that salesperson is "uncomfortable" helping an obese person? What about transvestites shopping for clothing?

As long as they aren't being asked to do something overtly sexual, I see nothing wrong with it. We need to quit viewing our lifestyle as bad or wrong, as something we must hide from the world because we might offend someone.

In a way, I think you're right, intellectually. But I just can't get that to permiate through to how I feel about it. Rightly or wrongly, I would associate actions like the above with flashers and nuisance callers.

I am not trying to make this lifestyle sound dirty or something I'm ashamed of- it would apply equally, for me, in any sexually charged situation. I am definitely not embarassed by my relationship and its connotations.

In closing, I can see your point. It's an agree to disagree thing- perhaps I'm just not liberal enough.
