Warmth was present on his cheek and it made him smile. It felt warm and nice, so nice that he wished he could sleep a bit more. He turned around a bit and gasped at the feeling of a jolt close to his bottom. He quickly stood up, remembering the other day, ready to burst into tears. A pair of strong arms hugged him as a sweet voice tried to calm him.
- Jin? He asked rather afraid, scared it might be all a dream and that in reality he was still being raped by those strangers.
- It’s okay, Kazu-chan. You’re in my room, remember? I brought you here.
Kazuya looked around him and then calmed down. He immediately remembered all and despite being embarrassed by the entire situation, he got enough courage to turn around and face the older one straight forward.
Jin only smiled. He was happy the see the younger one calming down and his facial expression soften. Kazuya looked prettier when smiling despite his angry face being just as desirable.
They remained quiet for a few seconds which caused the younger one to start laughing.
- Do you realize that there is almost always silence between us? He asked amused, lifting the covers on top of his chest, trying to hide it.
- Well, I suppose silence is good too. But I do need to talk to you.
- About?
- Yesterday and the day of the fire.
Kazuya froze and gulped. He didn’t want to talk about it. Anything else would have made a much better subject than that. Anything but that. Just hearing about those days made his body tremble and a feeling of disgust taking over his body.
Jin pulled him into his arms and patted his head.
- I talked to my friends. Ryo confessed something to me and I believe they could be of some help.
- Talked?! Kazuya finally shouted, pulling away, looking traumatized at the other. How could you? He shouted next, wrapping the sheet around his waist.
He was back to his normal self, the him who wasn’t like a puppet every time he would encounter Akanishi Jin. He was being bold again and he probably needed that.
Akanishi only raised an eyebrow and watched the younger one. How many more types of personalities did the younger one have? It was quite an interesting package once he got to know more.
- Ryo and your friend, Tatsuya Ueda, are sleeping together, he spouted, making the younger one completely stop, turn around and stare.
- How can….Liar!!
- I’m not! When Ueda decided to drift apart from his family, he went to Ryo. They have this deal, Akanishi quickly explained, standing up and walking all the way to the younger one.
Kazuya looked upset. He was frowning and making a weird move with his lips. It wasn’t a pout and neither a grin, nor a smirk.
- I don’t believe you.
- Have I ever lied to you?
The question made sense and it actually convinced the younger one from stopping his murderous look. It was true. Akanishi didn’t lie to him despite not even having too many occasions to do so. And he had to thank the same Akanishi for the help offered the other day, rescuing him from the rapists and sleeping with him. He could trust the older one. It was Jin he was talking about.
- You sure react nicely when it comes to your friends; Jin smiled, caressing Kazuya’s cheek before placing a soft kiss on his lips. I’m glad you care about them, he continued, smiling just as brightly.
- Is Tat-chan really…., he began without actually wanting to finish the question.
- It seems so. Talk to him and he’ll explain better. Ryo confessed it to me when telling me Ueda was with him and saw a figure, probably of the one who tried to burn us alive. They’ll help us find out who tried to rape you.
Kazuya bit his lower lip making it almost bleed. His body started trembling and he needed shelter. He practically jumped inside Jin’s arms, asking for help and comfort which, of course, the older one was more than willing to give.
- No one will tell about what happened. The only problem are those guys. We’ll find them; Jin reassured the younger one, brushing his hair and hugging him more tightly.
- Thank you, Jin…, the boy whispered, smiling.
He was fortunate to have Akanishi on his side. If he would have had to tell his family about it, they would have all been disgraced. He didn’t even want to think what could happen the moment they would find out their son is sleeping with a guy, in love with a guy, and by there gay and unable to give inheritors. He knew he was going to be protected but he was about to regret getting protection from Jin.
In the next couple of days, the older one kept nagging him. When they get together and order something to drink, Jin would always steal his glass and exchange it with others on the table. Sometimes they ended up drinking something completely different from what they had ordered, but no one seemed to complain. Even the food was switched sometimes and for Nakamaru’s bad luck, he became Jin’s guinea pig.
They went for a massage at some point. Akanishi turned into a samurai and stopped the lady the moment she got inside the salon.
- Do you know who I am? He asked with a superior tone, threatening almost.
- Aka…Akanishi Jin..sama…, she replied a bit afraid, not knowing what was going on.
- Exactly. So watch what you do. Try messing with me and you won’t live the day, he muttered.
He then lay on the bench and waited, smiling to the younger one next to him. Kazuya only gulped and smiled back, trembling at the idea of a furious Jin. He suspected the older one was disastrous when mad and he wasn’t that far away from the truth.
The poor woman walked as on nails and bit her lips every time she touched the older one. She was innocent, of course, so she figured the man meant: don’t screw up the massage or else; so she made sure to replay in her mind everything she was taught before massaging the great Akanishi Jin.
Of course, Jin was awfully sweet at times. When Kazuya wanted to go outside and take pictures, with Tat-chan’s camera since his disappeared, Jin offered to join and proved to be quite a perfect team mate for it.
Akanishi had a great sense a style so he ended up suggesting plenty of beautiful and interesting things for photographing, sometimes making the younger one gasp in surprise and clap his hands in delight. Kazuya actually thought to himself that he had a lot to learn from the moody Akanishi Jin.
When they went close to the river that passed the land, Jin turned into a wall. He kept blocking Kazuya’s view, turning around like a mad person, trying to see if anyone was spying on them.
Their enemies even laughed at the sight of that. Akanishi was Akanishi after all and nothing that he did dismissed that.
- Jin, stop that! Kazuya finally shouted, getting tired of the protective attitude the older one had.
It was turning pathological, sick, gradually worse and more aggressive. He was probably just as scary as whoever tried to harm him.
- Sorry, Kazu. I just don’t want you to get hurt again, the older smiled, grabbing Kazuya’s hand into his
- What bothers you so much?
He decided to ignore his own blush and walk with Jin while holding hands despite knowing people might see them. It felt nice being able to walk alongside the one he loved, feeling his care and protection.
- Remember that I told you I was the target? I’m not sure if that’s the case anymore. I mean…what’s the point in hurting you if they want to get to me? Actually…
Jin didn’t even finish his sentence. He abruptly stopped and look at his hand, holding the younger one’s, then looked up to Kazuya and bit his lips. They were lovers so of course they were picking at Kazuya as well. Of course. It made sense. Hurting Kazuya meant almost the same to hurting him and that was why they attacked the younger one.
- Jin…what are you trying to say?! Kazuya got scared a bit, getting really close to the other.
- Kazuya…I need you to do something as soon as we get back. Actually…we could do it now.
Kamenashi’s heart started beating really fast. What was Jin talking about? What was that they had to do so urgently that they couldn’t wait until getting back?
He was pulled all the way to the resort and dragged in front of the entire group. Koki looked at him curious, Tat-chan was only smiling while Ryo had a small reassurance grin on his face. The rest were simply surprised.
- Guys….starting today…Kazuya is my lover. More than a friend, my lover. Okay? He asked smiling, talking more specifically with his friends.
- Wh…w.ha..What?! Kazuya blurred out, completely blushing. He couldn’t believe Jin was saying that, especially in front of his friends, in that place where other people could have heard them.
- That’s…. great! Applauded Yoko, suddenly standing up and hugging Kazuya.
- Well done! Congratulated Taguchi as well, despite not looking just as happy as the rest. Something else was on his mind.
- Uhm…, only nodded Pi, standing up and getting ready to leave.
- Pi? Akanishi asked concerned, looking at his friend.
- I’m just a bit tired, Jin. I’m glad for you. I assure you we will all treat Kazuya the right way, he added putting on his diplomatic smile.
Jin wasn’t oblivious to that. He noticed the change in attitude his friend had, his best friend had, and felt bothered by it. Pi never looked so down as he did right that moment. Then was when Jin remembered Pi being overly nice to Kazuya and figured it was all because his friend was hoping for a chance with Kamenashi. Too bad, Kazuya was his and he wasn’t going to give him nor to Pi nor too anyone else.
- What does…..treat me the right way, mean? Kazuya asked curiously, looking firstly at Jin who kept looking after his friend, then at his own.
- Well…you are the lover of an Akanishi. Even more than a friend, it means you are important. If before we could have ignored certain things, now… both Jin’s safety and yours are important to us.
Kazuya gave them a puzzled look and tilted his head a bit, almost pouting.
- Like it the old days, Kame-chan, Yoko intervened, with a far too “up to trouble” smile on his face. Like in the old days… mistresses were important for our lords, right? Not just the wives. The courtesans as well. In this case, Jin could be considered the lord and you the fair courtesan, Yoko continued, making a dramatic move with his hands like in theatre plays.
Ryo started laughing loudly as he realized he and Ueda were in the same situation. Well…Ueda was the Hime not just the courtesan. Still, the comparison made sense and it explained things better than no matter how many words.
Jin probably made his first intelligent move by announcing to his friends who his lover is. Once announced officially, they all had to treat Kazuya as Jin’s lover and not just some friend. That also meant Kazuya was about to experience the ups and down of being Akanishi’s lover.
- Jin, Ryo spoke out loud, catching the attention of his friend.
- Yes?
- Good move. At least now his status is clear.
Akanishi nodded and smiled at his friend. The only one’s who seemed to understand were Tat-chan, Ryo and Jin, probably even Yoko who continued enjoying himself. Kazuya was lost, though. What was so important about being officially called the lover?
- I’ll explain, Jin offered.
- Ok…in our language please, Kazuya begged, focusing entirely on the older one.
- Why did they pick you? They could have picked one of my friends, right? But they come from wealthier family then yours and are very important to me. Picking them would have been the same as declaring war so instead they picked else, close to me but not that much. Now that I formally stated that you are important to me, they will think twice before picking on you again. It would be just as much of a war declaration.
Kazuya blushed while hearing that but felt a bit of pain as well. Jin wasn’t introducing him as a lover because he actually had that type of feelings but just to keep him safe. That meant that those people had to choose now someone else closer to Jin, someone who didn’t matter so much for the man.
- So now Nakamaru will be next? Kazuya chuckled, looking a bit apologetic at the one with a big nose.
Amongst them all, the only one close to Jin was Nakamaru. Ueda and Koki had almost nothing to do with Akanishi so there was no reason to attack them next. Sure, they could have decided to do something against Tat-chan too since Tat-chan had something going on with Ryo but not many knew about that so his friend was safe. He bowed and apologized to Nakamaru, feeling bad for what he had just said.
- Don’t worry. Nakamaru is not that important, Yoko said with his usual loud voice, resting his arm on Yuichi’s shoulder.
- It would mean they’d have to directly attack Jin, explained Ryo, standing up.
Ueda shivered a bit at the sight of Nishikido. He had never seen his lover so serious about something. Ryo was usually smirking, acting arrogantly and being too full of himself but this time he was actually being serious. He looked cool. For a second there, Ueda actually pictured Ryo as a knight in shinny armor.
- Don’t be that mean to Maru, Jin hissed, glaring a bit at Yoko. They could go for him next. Thank god Maru is my driver and almost always with me. They can’t really get to him.
- Jin…is it really alright to do this? Kazuya asked concerned.
He was flattered by what Jin was doing for him but that couldn’t stop him from feeling bad. It was practically a lie. He wasn’t really a lover; he was just holding the title of one.
Akanishi only smiled at him. It was a smile that made his heart ache and skip a few beats. A smile that made him bite his lower lip and wish for it all to become real. For him to be a real lover.
Pi sighed and closed the phone. He felt way too bad after the new he just got. Sure, he had some feelings for his best friend but nothing strong enough to make him feel sad. He still had to carry on the plan and make sure things turn out the way they were supposed to.
He sighed again and turned around, seeing Taguchi waiting a few meters away.
- You could always stop this, the blond one said, smiling bitterly.
- You know I can’t. We can’t. And you know why, Pi spoke calmly, putting his phone back in his pocket.
- Yeah…but still…that was a bit too much. He could have seriously get raped, he replied, walking a bit closer to the other.
- Who knows? Pi hissed, avoiding Taguchi and walking pass by him. Maybe it would have better if they did, he spoke mostly to himself but the blond heard it and shuddered.
Yamashita sighed once more and went to his room. He wasn’t in the mood for anything. He was feeling down. He threw himself on his bed and stared blankly at the laptop placed on the table. He didn’t like himself for thinking Kazuya should have been raped but he couldn’t shake the thought off either. Still, he had things to do and so little time to put them in motion. They were returning home the next day which meant he had almost 40 hours to prepare the next move.
Taguchi was left alone and bit his lower lip as well as his eyes spotted Ueda Tatsuya. He wanted to walk all the way to the older one but stopped as soon as he saw Ryo.
- What should I do now? He asked himself, clearly remembering what he was supposed to do. I hope things turn out the way they are supposed to. They better do! He told himself, leaving the place as soon as the other two, who didn’t notice him, kissed.
They were entering second stage and it was already impossible to back out. They had to carry it until the very end. Both him and Yamashita had to do what they had to do. Even if it meant hurting Jin or Kazuya. Even Ueda and Ryo. They just had to.
