(no subject)
okay. so when i get to work at 8:30 every morning, i usually have about 3-4 cups of coffee. then i sit down and play a good round of text twist (which, by the way, is amazing) before starting my menial tasks. this morning, in my tired and groggy state, i accidentally poured decaf for my first cup. i didn't realize it until i had finished it and gone back to the break room to get more. so basically, it's 9:30 am and i'm down by one cup of coffee. oh, the horror.
i've always liked the start of a new month. july was getting stale and trite. july, to me, is the mst awkward month. because it's so long and it's oddly placed in the middle of the year and it just hulks there and it's the summer and blah blah blah. plus, it has 31 days and the months with 31 days just seem infinitely longer than those with 30.
i bought a new planner yesterday. the old one just wasn't working. having the right planner is a very important thing. and i mean, i just need one with blank, lined pages, separated by each day, to write things down in. they've been making some with slots for lunch and evening plans and that's just a tad ridiculous.
i am very dissatisfied with the last entry. there was only one instance of humor in the entire thing. if i make entries of that length, there should at least be several instances of humor, as far as i'm concerned.
but, on to more important things, like dragonforce. point is, they're playing in portland on september 11 and I AM GOING TO GO. if anyone wants to go with me, tell me. if anyone hasn't heard of dragonforce, it's basically like...the lyrics/vocals of journey meets death metal meets videogames plus an asian man with long black hair named herman who totally rocks out on guitar.
yesterday was THE day to go half price record buying. i spent about 50 bucks. the righteous brothers greatest hits, kris kristofferson, my fair lady, jesus christ superstar, evita, AND houses of the holy which was the one record keeping me from a complete led zeppelin stuio recording collection. all of them are in perfect shape, too. i also bought requiem for a dream and then i watched it which probably wasn't a good idea because i couldn't sleep and i was all depressed. but jennifer connelly just looks so hott in her smoky eye makeup.
also, my camera broke about 2 years ago and i was too lazy to get it fixed under warranty so i just used my mom's. problem is, i lost my mom's recently in a drunken reverie. there were so many pictures on it that i hadn't uploaded yet. pictures from memorable events in my life! graduation was on there, the senior awards assembly, plus several drunken evenings. now i have to go get my old one fixed so i can give it to my mom. i took it in to best buy and they wanted a 179 dollar deposit just to send it out. well fuck you best buy. i'm not selling a kidney just so you can unfreeze my digital camera. if i was more tech savvy, i might do it myself. i'm going to try taking it in the wolf camera today.
