Yeah I was there for a couple weeks this summer, and it sucked (although there's always something fun about just not giving a fuck). I don't often offer people good advice, because I rarely have anything constructive to say, but one thing I will tell you. I once knew an old man who I considered to be very wise. He also insisted he wasn't any good at giving advice, but there was one piece of wisdom he deemed worthy of passing on: if you're unhappy about something you can't change, focus on something you can. If that doesn't work... fuck it?

I'm old so I can comment on your state. You're aware of the big transition ahead, it is normal to be uneasy about the unknown. Since you can't comprehend it and there seems to be less reason to focus on the present, since you'll be leaving it, the past is left there sitting like a scab on your ankle to be picked at.
