As mentioned in the previous post, Dave and I were both home the entire week of new year's. In that time we planned to relax, but also wanted to be around for anything having to do with landscaping. Anything we could get done to keep the process moving along. We told our contractor just that and he sounded optimistic about that.
Where we left off, the week before christmas is we have a stamped concrete patio and fertilizer or soil in all the remaining unfinished areas that will have sod. Well, the guy says we have to do plants before sod because you can't walk on it for a while. So, fine we agree and decide to do plants with his wife who has her own plants/nursery type business.
So we get back from NC and its impossible to get a hold of him! We leave 3 or 4 messages during that week and he never returns the calls therefore nothing gets done at all. We were so mad at him, and then he calls first thing this Monday and says he was out of town and sick. Whatever, if you're getting all those messages you can give ONE call back to say either "I can't do anything now" or "I'll get back to you at a later date". Hello--customer service!! It would have been nice for him to let us know when he was going out of town or put something on his voicemail, I mean we gave him our exact dates we'd be avaliable and he was like "Okay, that's great!" Grrrrr.
Anyway, we are pretty satisfied with actual results, but we're ready to have them done and gone ASAP. Here's the latest...
We will have a wooden gate built and will paint it to match our front door and outside trim. A plum, brown color.
