Hello neglected journal
I've hardly touched a computer in the past two weeks and getting back to being on one ALL day is taking some getting used to. Especially since i'm doing work that is mindless and less than exciting. Work itself is taking some getting used to as well.
I've come to the conclusion that I should retire at age 29. :P The long commutes (at least 35 miles each way just to work), crazy-ass drivers that think they own the road and clueless project managers... I've had enough of you all!
Back to reality... Christmas was really nice. It was our first one without my maternal grandmother so that in itself was a bit sad, but I could feel her presence. Went back to NC to my parents and visited with friends and family for a week, then came back and took the entire New Year's week off just doing stuff around the house and relaxing. Man, I could get used to that!!
Now its back to the grind and its no fun. Oh well, I'm sure things will get better. I am keeping myself busy with my own work since I have the pleasure of designing wedding invitations for two girls' weddings as well as a baby announcement for a close friend. That's really where my mind is right now.
