Well, since I just went on this tirade with one of my friends, I thought I would carry it over to the lj and see how pissed off people got. No, I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about society at large. Talk Radio, here I come, ha

Well, for me, at this time in my life, the number one form of recreation is drinking. I have never talked so much about sex with someone without actually getting any. Grrr. Getting laid isn't just a recreational activity, it's a way to relieve stress (and hangovers so I've heard). But I agree, sex is way too big of a deal today, whether you're getting some or not. I washed my guy's truck yesterday, yet I would have rather been having sex. So yes, I do believe it is a way to escape getting out and doing real activities (but think of how many calories it burns!!) I often get so sick of sex talk, and how huge a deal it is.

See, Mel? You get more than any of us and you don't think it's a big deal. I would have to argue that the reason you get a whole lot and still don't think its a big deal is because you are a complete person. You do a ton of sports, are way into your flying, are smart, educated, and generally happy and fulfilled. Getting laid just supplements your lifestyle.

Wait, when you say I get more than any of you, is that more activities than you? Cuz I sure as hell ain't getting any sex. Four long months for me now. Yup. I'm not ashamed. It was hard until about month three, then the sexual frustration began to subside (until this guy recently kept telling me things he wanted to do to me, but didn't actually do any of it). Haha. Damn. But yes, I agree, sex just supplements my lifestyle.
