motorcycles and manicures.

learn how to drive a motorcycle. CHECK. just another thing i can check off on my life's little list of things i have to do. it wasn't all that bad. it is like they say.. that it's like riding a bike, but heavier and faster and louder. i know how to switch gears but i have no idea how to use them. i'll probably break a bike trying to figure out which gear i need to use. it was fun, though. and the last couple of laps my cousins let me drive on my own. it's quite nice. it was dark and no one was around and here you can see the whole sky. it's gorgeous at night. then we took a walk on the boulevard. it was nice. i met some nieces and nephews i didn't even know i had. but i guess that comes with the fact that i haven't been home in 6 years. a lot of people look at you and say 'dalaga na'. which loosely means.. "you're a lady now" it's quite embarrassing but very endearing. it's a very filipino thing to say. it's fun to be baby-ed around here. here on my dad's side i'm the only girl and the second youngest. so i pretty much get what i want. and i have cousins that act like the older brothers i never had. it's funny they say stuff like 'why are you wearing makeup? you don't need that' but of course they're gonna say that. they have to. i'm excited about tomorrow. it's the feast of saint john the baptist. and my whole family is spending it on the beach. i get all confused with my dad's family cause there's so many and i never remember them all. but i now understand why. because my aunt told me that my grandfather on my dad's side had sixteen brothers and sisters. now wonder i can never keep count of my cousins. lol. and one of my uncles is one of 13. apparently the gelvoria side of the family helps to populate the philippines. lmao. ok. until next time. toodles!
