Near death experience...

I shouldn't be here to type this...

Today I went to take everything out of the apartment I was living in, and took it all to my parents in Battleground. I did that successfully. On the way out my mom told me she loved me three times and told me to be careful twice as many times. I think she had a mom feeling.

After I got three quarters of the way across the I-205 bridge from Washington to Oregon my rear passenger tire's tread blew out. I started to slide almost hitting a car next to me going 65 miles per hour. I then swerved across a lane and narrowly missed hitting the wall separating me from oncoming traffic. I somehow managed to slide into the shoulder and stop safely. I went blank and my instincts took over. I was inches from death or injury, and for some reason I am fine. Just a cut on my hand from when I grabbed the shredded tread of the tire after getting out to investigate.

I needed to change the tire, and I had a spare and a jack. But one piece to the jack was missing, rendering it useless. There was nothing I could do, so those who know me and how much I love my car won't find this surprising. Rather then abandon my one possession that I love, I drove it all the way back to my friends house, which is roughly 10 miles or so. I didn't care whether it was illegal or not to drive randomly on the side of the road going 5-25 most the time. Fuck laws, I don't like them anyways.

Here I am. Alive and in one piece. Just really freaked out, with a huge adrenaline rush flowing through my veins still.

I made it...

Somehow.
