Stuff is happening
I didn't have much to write about in the past week because it was mostly more of the same: make job applications, receive rejections, play WoW, read and write.
I also got introduced to the joys of apple crumble and finished The Stolen Throne, a Dragon Age tie-in novel.
Yesterday I went to the doctor because I got another thing to add to my list of "strange new health problems that I never suffered from before", an infection on my chest. It itches and hurts and now I have to run around with wound dressings on my chest for a week. Meh.
I also got some good news though, because yesterday I got the first call about my CV on Monster since I updated it. I was asked to demonstrate my language skills in German and English in writing, and today I got a call back saying that the company wants to invite me for an interview next week! It would be for a customer service position for Lego in Slough. I'm quite excited without wanting to get my hopes up, but at the very least this proves that my new CV does its job and with the training I received so far I'll feel more confident about handling the interview stage as well.
