Here I am again. It's my day, December 21st, my (gosh third) birthday as a fanfic writer when I look back over the year and think about what I accomplished.
I continued writing for "Supernatural". I got to a grand total of 100 drabbles written for "Supernatural", timed (not coincidentally) to coincide with Halloween. And then I stopped.
I dunno, I guess I just haven't been feeling very creative lately. I've had lulls before, and I always wonder if they're permanent or temporary. I guess I'll find out.
I wrote a lot of good drabbles -- drabbles that I enjoyed writing. You can go back to my post where I celebrate 100 drabbles for a full overview. I wrote a handful of longer fics, most of them in the "Forgotten" verse. (Hee! I have a 'verse!) which is all Dean/Jo. We haven't seen Jo for ages now, but the verse has a life of its own. I suspect that if I write any more, there's at least one more story to tell in that verse. Their daughter has a voice of her own that I can still hear.
My personal favorite has to be a fic I wrote called "Bellis Perennis". I started with the goal of writing something that could be a standalone episode of the show. No ships or guessing where canon is headed, just a monster of the week. I didn't get many reviews for it, and one of my most vocal reviewers liked it but (very politely) thought it felt unfinished. Which has more to do with my writing style than a lack of ideas -- people don't complain that drabbles feel unfinished; it's part of the territory.
I don't know if I'll write any more or not. And I tend not to read when I'm not writing, I'm not really sure why.
But we thank you for your support.
