[it wasn't Minato's fault.

this is his first thought on waking. he had realised it in the split-second before dying; the Milkman was behind their fight, and even if Minato had killed him it wasn't his fault, but he just can't bring himself to accept that for now. being the embodiment of rational decision making, he finds that the damage to his pride and lingering fear is enough of a reason to hold a grudge.

when he finally bothers to drag himself out of bed, he heads to the phone before anything else, picking it up after a moment of hesitation. his voice sounds strained (because of the anger, it's definitely the anger)]

I hope you can gain satisfaction in knowing you were right.
