Good news bad

Good news: As of this evening, Jezzabel has a new home, out in Papakura (pictures here). It's the ideal situation - with a very nice woman (Paris) who is getting married in February, but in the meantime wants some security and companionship. Ben and I went out with Jez, spent some time with her and discussed the property (big enough for about three runs), feeding rituals and exercise. It all looks really good! Paris also fed us coffee, which was most likely bad ... here comes hyper Deb! I will probably go out and visit every other week, and can take Jez to see bigtaz on Family visits when he wants.

Oh, and she had hats! I just about passed out at all the gorgeous creations she has on her dresser :)

Bad news: I miss the dog ... I was quite sad leaving her there.

Good news: Speaking of hats - I received the gorgeous scrap red yarn bucket hat that I ordered from octopusgrrl, and spent all day wearing it. I love it lots and lots!

Bad news: I'm all envious of Paris' hat collection ... I just don't have enough!

Good news: The office for my neurologist called yesterday morning, telling me there'd been a cancellation for today. So I snapped it up, spent this morning in a welter of nervousness, and headed off this afternoon. It was good to be seen and not be told it was *ahem* all in my head. Which is not to say he had answers. But apparently this sometime does happen. So I'm off certain meds and on different ones.

Bad news: I'm off the painkillers. Cold turkey. *freaks* This is going to be scary. Although - he's told me if the pain is too bad I can call and he will arrange for me to hospitalised.

Good news: I have my writing mojo back! I've written three movie reviews (Crash, Howl's Moving Castle and Cinderella Man), a DVD review (Ong-Bak), and a 2HC column (the current one: here. The previous one from a month ago that I forgot to pimp: here). *dances*

Bad news: Nah, fukkit - my life is still pretty good, comparitively. *hugs* to everyone.

writing, migraine, jez
