Where are my hecklers? It's five days into the Write-a-thon and I haven't posted, and there is not a squawk of a showtune or a whimper of a snide remark to be heard. I know many of you have the excuse that your own WaTing is keeping you busy, but still...
I'm a little behind on my goal so far this week, but not to worry. I'm at 3250 words for the week, and I'm pretty sure I can squeak in another 1250 tomorrow between work and the CW kick-off celebration, leaving me with 2500 for Saturday, which is a big but doable chunk. Oh, and I'm counting in the standard Sunday-to-Saturday weeks this year. Last year's Monday-through -Sunday encouraged far too much procrastination.
Can anyone tell me how to add a word count widget to my blog? I'm afraid I'm plenty inept at such things but if you have some code I can borrow, I'm happy to learn.
I seem to once again be writing advertising into my stories (don't worry, no cheesy jingles this year), so if anyone has any products they'd like to see promoted in my novel-in-progress (fictional products are completely fine), stick them in the comments and I'll consider them. The context: my main character, Aria, designs very specialized high-end advertising, some targeted in the Seattle(ish) area and some in national/international campaigns (maybe). It's relatively near future, say about 20-30 years down the road. Hooray for the mundane!
