... Yesterday I had a totally lazy day and feel more relaxed.
For those who don't know, the bone that I am waiting to have re-xrayed is quite small, ut the one bone in the body that doesn't always heal. When I was training to be an osteopath it was drummed into us that if we ever suspected this fracture we were to send the patient straight to hospital. When I was in A&E on Sunday I found that 1 in 500 (or sometimes more) will need surgery.
So, all in all, it was a shock when I fell ... but with alazy day am feeling more relaxed.
The good news is that as I am in a splint I was able to remove it for a shower this morning. My hand is pretty coloured, but I am able to move my thumb a bit, so hopefully it will heal without surgery needed.
So, as I said, more positive.
The other good side is that although it's my right hand, when I worked as an osteopath, I worked mostly left handed, so things are going to e OK for most things. (I will really test that in a moment as I am going to try and make a couple more icons, using my mouse left-handed ... so will report back tomorrow!!)
But, let's catch up with the questions I am missing -
30. Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The event is held annually, encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights, for one hour from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., usually on the last Saturday of March. Will you be joining in?
Well as I usually only have the one light on, in whatever room I am in, it will be odd to sit in the dark for an hour
31. World Backup Day - have you ever forgotten to back something up and lost it all? Do you back up your data regularly?
My computer has a cloud-backup that is automatic.
1. Debbie Reynolds was born on this day in 1932 - have you ever seen any of her movies or TV shows? Do you have a favourite?
I do like her films. I suppose "Singing in the Rain" is a classic of hers that I do like
2. National Ferret Day - ferrets are often kept as pets, do you know anyone who has one? Would you keep a ferret?
No, and no!!
And, I can even catch up with the photos -
Saturday ... I was able to get a lot of my back garden tidied and sorted
Sunday - after my fall, we still all went on the walk ... this is Nick & Brenda's dog, Ollie
Monday ... well, maybe I shouldn't feel sorry for myself, as these were my collection ready to eat
Right, I will try & catch up with you all, and past messages.
