Thank you so much, Deb. You know how torn I was throughout the debate and how I voted for reasons other than race or hatred. I've been immensely upset for people like yourself and your family who might see unwelcome consequences but I hope none of that comes to fruition. I've felt sick at the hate pouring out towards the Leave side and all the 'proof' being posted of how leavers are all racist, hateful and thick. All it is doing is fuelling the situation. There's been some going the other way as well and it's not helping anything. We are in the first few days of reaction, shock and uncharted territory but I was heartened by Tony Blair's interview this morning (love him or loathe him), as he spoke in a sensible, measured and conciliatory way of how the UK and the EU can sort things out to the benefit of all. It will take a lot of time but I'm still hopeful that things will gradually get better, including the terrible political climate we find ourselves in. I've said from the start that I thought things will turn out quite different to how either side thinks and I still believe that. *Hugs*

I know that many leave voters are desperately upset by what is happening as are many remainers.

What's done is done, we simply have to work together for the best outcome.

But we can't do that if we don't respect that others made a different choice to us and that they were entitled to do so.

Absolutely. We now have to promote unity, kindness and all that is good in the majority of people.
