Admittedly I  am bored senseless at the moment; but everyone has always been so helpful and responsive...Does anyone else ever wonder if the grad app comm people and department heads and professors we are so desperately trying to impress read any of these live journal entries?  I actually had a disconcerting dream about this.

So far all the schools I've researched/applied to/or am still considering do not require GRE scores.  Now I have discovered some fantastic programs that do require the scores.  I'm registered to take the test in October; the only date offered.  However scores won't even be reported til December which, of course, is past the application deadlines of ( Read more... )

I, too, am anxiously waiting to hear about school.  Plan B AND Plan C have already said very polite no thank yous.  Still waiting to hear from Plan A.  Living on cigarettes and anguish.  Mailbox check everyday thinking:  Today's the day for good news!  NOT!  A friend told me:  In academia bad news travels fast; good news takes a little longer.  ( Read more... )
